HP technology underpins the work of visual artists and filmmakers everywhere. But a few years ago, this wasn’t a well-known fact in the wider film industry. To shift perceptions, Ivory created the HP Virtual Reality Artist-in-Residence programme.

In HP Studio at the Cannes Film Festival, our artist used HP tech to create pieces inspired by the place. Immersive virtual worlds powered by HP machines. Sketches on HP tablets. Murals printed with HP printers. We offered guided VR art experiences, so delegates could create something in VR themselves and understand the medium’s creative potential.

Our VR Artist-in-Residence brought high value guests to HP’s home at Cannes and created an engaging reason for them to stay. By combining new technology with traditional creativity, we helped HP showcase their products, shift perceptions, and build new relationships.
